Based in Green Bay, Wisconsin, Margarita’s Famous Mexican Food & Cantina has been serving up bold, homemade entrees in their authentic Tex-Mex atmosphere for over 17 years. Locally owned and operated, Margarita’s prides themselves in food that’s made with only the freshest ingredients, and a standing as having “Wisconsin’s Biggest and Best Margaritas!”. Boasting an array of salsas and meal options including enchiladas, tacos, tacos salads, tamales, and burritos- Margarita’s has everything a hungry stomach could want in the Green Bay area.
Margarita’s approached Webfitters in need of a website that reflected their lively personality, enhanced their overall user experience, and a mobile version that maximized their visitor’s engagement.
Margarita’s previous website was outdated and struggled to encompass the fun and light-hearted atmosphere that they welcome their guests with. Their color scheme and overall theme for their website needed something that popped- something that would fully catch their viewer’s attention
Aside from the aesthetics and ‘vibe’ updates their site was looking for, Margarita’s needed enhancements to their online-ordering and catering services, and the creation of an application that would allow customers to purchase gift cards online.
In order to best reflect the personality of Margarita’s and capture the essence of the restaurant, our team worked hard to design a website that encompassed the energy and vibes that mirrors the restaurant. The moment the viewer arrives at their home page they are greeted with a sliding gallery featuring high-quality images of some of their most popular entrees and, of course, their margaritas. Layered on top of these images are conveniently located buttons with subtle call to actions encouraging the user to browse their menu.
One of the driving forces behind the website redesign was the need for a mobile-friendly experience. Optimizing the site so it would be easy to use on a mobile device increases the opportunities for customers to view the menu, easily order food, or just browse through their site. In addition, connecting with EatStreet allows Margarita’s to further expand their online ordering and the carry-out option.
Since enhancing the user-experience was a large part of the rebuild, our team implemented a fully automated catering menu for the ease of both the customer, and the employee. This means that both parties won’t have to spend hours on their phone trying to cypher through a large menu.
Another addition to the website is the ability to order gift cards directly from their site. This feature eliminates the need to physically visit the restaurant to purchase one. Like the online ordering and mobile experience enhancements, this improvement to the site will increase the number of users engaging with the website.
