The Fox Cities Performing Arts Center is located in Appleton, WI. Built in 2002, this performing arts center is the culmination of community and corporate giving in search of a “gathering place in which to house the region’s wealth of performing artists — a place to educate and enlighten the community and our children”.
As the reach of the FCPAC, and technology, has grown over the years, they knew they needed a new website that utilized the latest tools to expand their offerings to the community.
Their previous site was becoming increasingly outdated and struggled to keep up with the latest compliance standards. In addition, more than 90% of online visitors were using a mobile device to access the site. Without a fully responsive website, they were not providing an optimal user experience for the site’s large number of visitors.
The Fox Cities Performing Arts Center wanted their new website to tell their story and share glimpses of the experience through updated visuals including videography and photography. They also envisioned a more robust event calendar and a stronger server to handle surges in visitors.
With the project goals clearly defined, our team got to work right away.
The Fox Cities Performing Arts Center website is a fully functional, fully ADA Compliant website that was built with the focus of serving the needs of all visitors to the Performing Art Center, both in person and online.
The website is meant to inspire and entice visitors to explore the engaging content displayed on the site while keeping navigation streamlined. From beautiful photos, interactive features and lively videos, the Fox Cities PAC’s website is as grand as the performances gracing its stage.
This site has many unique features that were custom designed and integrated in order to provide the FCPAC with the tools that were most useful for their visitors.

One of the more detailed parts of the project was the build-out of the 360-degree seating chart. This was a custom designed and programmed feature that was hand crafted for providing potential visitors with a feel for their experience from their desired seat. Users select a section of seats they’re interested in and then they can drag their cursor around to observe a 360-degree view of Thrivent Hall or Kimbery-Clark Hall from their seat.
Technical elements of the website build enable the team at the FCPAC to seamlessly update and adjust the website to their needs. Full backend access with custom enhancements allow them to easily update the website as new shows are added, and they can create custom banner ads that can be placed into their frequently visited pages as necessary. The FCPAC is also on a secure, dedicated hosting plan designed to handle surges in their traffic.
Every element of the build was thoughtfully created, carefully and intentionally designed, and implemented to grow the loyal fan base of the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center. We are very excited to have worked with an organization dedicated to increasing appreciation for the performing arts in Northeast Wisconsin.
