Exceptional Equestrians

WordPress Website and Blog

Challenge

Exceptional Equestrians has been offering hippotherapy in the Green Bay area since 1999.

Their old, outdated site was looking more like the Wild West than a modern website and did not reflect the contemporary facilities and approach to providing hippotherapy, adaptive riding and equine-experiential learning.

With no real mobile compatibility and dated functionality, the old website was difficult to navigate for prospective donors and volunteers. With long pages featuring multiple categories on a single page, finding information was tedious for new visitors to the site while also being difficult for existing volunteers to access scheduling.

Exceptional Equestrians needed a website that met the needs of site visitors, whether they were there to learn more about therapy, volunteering or make a charitable donation. They knew they could count on Webfitters not to horse around and deliver exactly what they needed.

Solution

Webfitters worked directly with the Exceptional Equestrians marketing team to reorganize the entire site map and user flow into one that worked intuitively for patients, volunteers and donors alike. With a home page featuring frequently-accessed items and a new blog to focus on news and upcoming events, the new website offers easy navigation throughout. Give Today! and Volunteer buttons were added to the website header leading to dedicated volunteer and donor pages, making it easy to find needed information on one cleanly-designed page.

Volunteers can now easily access the volunteer schedule through a button linked to a Google Sheet that can be updated easily without ever entering the website’s back end. Webfitters developers also ensured the site’s seamless transition and easy maneuverability on mobile devices.
