Eagle Performance Plastics - Marketing Case Study

Google Advertising, SEO, User Experience Enhancements, & New Materials Catalog


Eagle Performance Plastics is a leading supplier of custom-machined and fabricated plastic parts and components serving OEMs nationally and internationally. Since their founding in 1971, Eagle has been committed to continuously improving their service and quality to meet the needs of their customers. They currently use the latest technologies to manufacture plastic components for a wide variety of industries. Eagle Performance Plastics approached Webfitters in the need of website enhancements, a complete materials catalog, as well as assistance in growing their digital presence. 

Webfitters took on Eagle Performance Plastics as a client in 2019. Their goal was to drive more conversions through keyword identification and to build a solid SEO foundation on the site. They also wanted to branch out to reach a more specific audience on a national level. General web enhancements and a materials catalog were implemented to help provide a stronger user experience increase site traffic. 


Webfitters started by cleaning up navigation and user flow, tailoring the home page to Eagle's targeted audience, creating a fully functional materials catalog allowing users to compare plastic materials and components (to find the best solution for their project). We also made updates to the site's general look and feel. With a solid foundation in place, we moved to our "beyond the build" phase.

Our team began with extensive keyword research in order to identify the strongest words targeted at Eagle's audience. This would allow us to attract customers fit for Eagle based on search potential, the industry, and their offerings. Keyword mapping was done to determine the best places for certain keywords. 

At this point, we performed a general health audit on the revamped website. Results showed nearly a 10% increase in website health. Studies show high health scores link to improved performance within search engines as well as a better overall user experience.

Next, we developed a Google Ads campaign. The campaign was developed to help capture those potential customers actively looking to purchase plastic components for their projects. By incorporating Google Ads into their digital strategy, we increased conversions dramatically. Google Analytics showed a jump from 16 total conversions in August of 2020 to 23 conversions in October of 2020; a 44% increase in just two months.

We are actively working with Eagle Performance Plastics to continue strengthening their SEO, maintain their ad performance through Google Ad campaigns, and boost their overall web traffic.
