Challenge

Donahue Academy is a PK-12 Catholic classical school located in Ave Maria Florida. They came to us because their site was outdated, confusing to navigate through, and not telling their story as well as they wanted. Their old site needed a complete overhaul to include better user flow, a new contemporary look, and to connect student and parent portals.

Their biggest needs were:

An updated site map for better user flow and navigational structure
A new, contemporary, and engaging look
For the site to be functional for both current parents and sales tool for prospective parents
The ability to push important announcements and info to the parents of students
The ability to display and chronicle senior thesis videos
A way to connect to student and parent portals as well as online admissions

Solution

We worked closely with Donahue Academy to help create a new website that met all their needs. With an improved site map, their website now not only looks better, but is easier for both parents and students to navigate through.

How we improved upon their previous website:

Reworked the site map for a better user experience
Updated the whole website design for a contemporary and modern look
Added an announcements panel pop up on home page for important/time-sensitive info
Split Academics and Athletics into sections per grade
Created a page to view the Senior Thesis video library
Added a blog with a feed to the home page to showcase latest news
Created easy access Connection to various portals
Implemented a search bar at the top for quick navigation
