Challenge

Sixty years is a long time to be making beer runs. Established in 1953, Dean Distributing, Inc., is a third-generation family business that, to this day, strives to provide the best quality, service, and value to customers. With 23 daily delivery routes, this proud local distributor of Anheuser-Busch products also boasts a growing portfolio of wine and spirits, energy drinks, water, and juices. But in order to stay at the forefront of the wholesale beer industry, Dean Distributing, Inc., needed a website of their own.

Early in the development process, another vendor actually took on this task, but the Dean Team was not satisfied with the site’s progress or pace. With the glass half empty, it was at that point they instead turned to Webfitters to create a site that shares their story, showcases their products, displays job openings with an easy way for visitors to apply, and promotes upcoming events – all synced with their social media accounts. A tall order, to be sure, but we were ”hoppy” to accept the challenge!

Solution

The first-time digital presence for Dean Distributing, Inc., is overflowing with opportunity, from an interactive, visual timeline showing off their long history, to a “News & Brews” blog featuring all things Dean. An ongoing calendar highlights music and sporting events, samplings, and community activities, as well as their sponsored shindigs. And for anyone interested in joining this lager legacy, a new careers section not only speaks to who they are, but also lists available opportunities with a convenient online application.

The cherry on top (or in this case, the “foam”) is that the entire site seamlessly integrates with third-party product display software, which allows the distributor to easily manage hundreds of products from a single, centralized back-end location that automatically feeds to the website.
