Webfitters Work: WordPress Website

Challenge

American-3 Fab is a fabrication company specializing in general fabrication, CNC machining, and on-site installation. They are unique in that they actually do the installation themselves whereas other fabrication companies only produce products.

American-3 Fab was referred to Webfitters from another company we had done business with. They were planning a TV ad campaign and wanted to make sure they had a new website before the ads aired; requiring a relatively quick turnaround.

Am-3 Fab’s old website was dated and in need of an upgrade. It was unorganized, lacked user flow, and didn’t accurately tell Am-3 Fab’s unique story. As a result, it wasn’t helping them connect with potential customers OR employees. Our team sat down with the Am-3 Fab team to determine a list of needs.

Features/Additions needed:

Reworked sitemap and stronger user flow
A contemporary, inspiring look and feel
General responsiveness (mobile friendly)
Clear calls to action throughout the site
The ability to connect with new employees

Solution

Upon kicking off the project, it was discovered that their existing website was experiencing some major technical difficulties. Our team reacted quickly by creating a temporary, functioning splash page to act as a placeholder until the new site was built. From there, we worked with the Am-3 Fab team to determine project goals, tell their story, and upgrade their entire online presence. We focused heavily on the home page and overall navigation to create a clean, contemporary, informative, and inspiring user experience. The new website gears towards prospective customers but also aims at recruiting new employees. See below for a list of upgrades.
