Congratulations to Our Lady of Kibeho Basilica Foundation Inc. on the launch of their new website!
Our Lady of Kibeho Basilica Foundation Inc. is a non-profit organization based out of New York, NY with the mission to raise $70 million from around the world to help build two basilica churches in Kibeho, Rwanda at the direction of Mother Mary.
In November of 1981, Virgin Mary appeared in Kibeho to a 17 year old student. She identified herself as the “Mother of the World”. In 1982, She appeared to two more students. Mother Mary shared visions of a gruesome picture of violence and murder throughout Rwanda (in 1994, these visions became reality with the Rwandan genocide). She also shared a vision of two churches being built in the village and asked for help building them. Immaculee Iligibiza, one of few Tutsi survivors of the genocide, would also become a key supporter to the Build Kibeho initiative.
Immaculee came to Webfitters hoping to have a website built to help drive this mission, collect donations and spread their story. The website needed to tell this miraculous story, while inspiring people from all around the world to donate to the build of these churches.
Webfitters worked closely with Immaculee and her team from all over the world to build this tool to drive their mission. The website features a secure, and user friendly donation plugin powered by Stripe. Stripe allows users to make one-time or recurring donations from anywhere in the world. The site has a language translator built in, so anyone visiting the site can read their story in any language they choose. Additionally, the site features a blog space, which allows the foundation to share news and updates with their supporters. Finally, the site allows for social media sharing to help spread their mission to the masses.
