Our Marketing Department’s Favorite Tools

Published on July 17, 2019

The world of digital marketing changes so fast, and the need to produce a high return-on-investment is crucial to our clients’ success. This means we need all the tools to ensure we produce quality strategies and tactics that work and keep up with the trends. We can’t do it alone! Fortunately, there are many tools out there that help us do the best work we can.

SEMRush is a very powerful tool that can help discover many important things that will help determine strategy and competition. SEMRush allows you to run website audits to diagnose issues that could harm your ranking, as well as discover how you rank for certain keywords compared to your competitors. That’s just the tip of the iceberg. SEMRush can help with organic SEO, pay-per-click research, public relations, content planning and so much more.

Canva is a life saver for any digital or social media marketer that may not have all the design chops as your go-to graphic designer. Canva offers quick, user friendly design options with fun templates, graphics, stock photography and layouts in every size graphic you may ever desire from Facebook covers, Instagram posts, email banners, business cards, brochures and more. Gone are the days of having to bug your designer everyday to whip up a quick social graphic.

Google Analytics is a MUST! Your website should be treated as your marketing hub. If you’re not tracking how it’s working for you, you are missing out on all the opportunities! Google Analytics provides a robust data platform that allows you to track users, engagement, and behavior on your site. You can set goals that help you reach success and understand what is working and what is not. The #1 rule of marketing is, “don’t do anything you can’t track”.

Google Ads & Keyword Planner is our favorite tool for determining what keywords to target, and how much you’ll need to spend to reach your conversion goals. Google Ads allow you to reach top-of-page results, and retarget website visitors.

LastPass is an excellent option for anyone who manages a lot of passwords. If you’re doing password protection right, your passwords should be difficult to remember, and not written down where people can find them. LastPass allows you to store all of your logins in one, safe place. You can share login credentials with others, without even showing them what that password is! You can even access your LastPass account on any device.

These are just a few of the tools in our toolbox, but these are by far our most favorite. If you’d like to see how some of these tools could help with your digital marketing efforts, drop us a line!
