WordPress Developer

We are currently seeking a full time WordPress Developer with at least 2 years experience. Our WordPress developers are comfortable working alongside a team as well as independently in the design and development of mission-critical websites, applications, and layers of the infrastructure. Experience with HTML, JavaScript, CSS (SCSS), PHP, WooCommerce, payment processing, shipping, taxes, and writing custom plugins is valuable to succeed in this role. They have an immediate effect on our business success, as well as the success of our clients.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Identify technical requirements and create functional project specs
- Translate project requirements into compliant code and application functionality, under the direction of the Project Management
- Collaborate with other developers to develop simple and optimized code
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
- Support legacy as well as new projects
WHAT YOU NEED FOR THIS POSITION
- Minimum 2 years of PHP experience
- 2+ years of experience with relational databases and direct SQL code
- Strong knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, CSS (SCSS) and PHP
- Strong knowledge of WooCommerce, payment processing, shipping, and taxes
- Experience with writing custom plugins
- Work with, and be able to modify, functionality of 3rd party plugins in categories such as: User Roles/Permissions, Portals, Calendars, Resource Libraries, and eCommerce
- Experience working with software versioning or revision control systems such as Git
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to hit assigned deadlines
Must be an analytical thinker, detail-oriented, and adapt to working in a team environment
